Flowing Gold was the first Hackney the Mennie's were to have. She was 15.2h Hackney Horse, that Larry enjoyed riding as well as Driving. This mare took Larry to many Winter Fairs and local horse shows.

She was later purchased by a cousin Barb Glover, of Glover Equine Products of Boissevain Manitoba,of which gave Barb her start in the horse world. Barb raised a few colts from her as well.
